Grab your passport, friends, because we’re off to the next destination in our Traveling Taste Buds dinner series! Last month, we took a journey to Mexico in celebration of Dia de Los Muertos. This month, we are embarking to Central Europe to celebrate St. Stephen’s Day in Czechia, Slovakia, Austria, and Hungary. Our taste buds have a lot of sightseeing to do, so let’s get started. 

Savor Central European-inspired Drinks, Appetizers, and Desserts 

St. Stephen’s Day marks the second day of Christmastide and is observed widely in Central Europe with celebrations including horseback riding, church services, and drinking. Of course, there are delicious meals and treats served on this second day of Christmas.

1st Course:
Shrimp and Crab Louie with a deviled egg and pickled celery

Country ham, salami, duck liver mouse, pickles, mustard, Cumberland sauce, pearl onion and crostini

Grilled asparagus, artichokes, hummus, pita, harissa, beets, pickled carrot, radish

2nd Course (Served Family Style):
Mixed greens and Sweet Potato, honey walnut vinaigrette and apple

3rd Course:

Herb Roasted Organic Turkey, sage sourdough dressing, green beans, garlic mashers, fried onions, ginger anise cranberry chutney, gravy

Slow Roasted Ribeye of Beef, rosemary potato confit, asparagus, bearnaise, oven-dried tomato, fried onions, horseradish veal reduction
