Your San Antonio RiverWalk Restaurant Knows how to Fiesta!

It has been a long time since we’ve had a river parade!  The Texas Cavaliers are about to change that!

June 21st is the long awaited Fiesta River Parade.  …& we need it!

Interested?  Well we have two ways to enjoy…

 

Dinner & Parade Seat

Dinner in the dining room and a parade seat riverside.

Parade seating along the parade route after dinner.

$140 adults • $80 kids (kids=12 years and under)

Price includes a $50 fee for parade seat, food, tax and gratuity.

What’s included?  Just about everything!  Our chefs have put together a 3 course menu for parade goers.  The first two courses you will enjoy in our main dining room before the parade.  Close to the start of parade you will take a box of dessert to enjoy at your reserved riverside parade seat.  Coffee, tea, gratuity and tax are also included in the $140 price tag. Any additional drinks or additional items will be billed, based on consumption, before the parade starts.  (Sorry, we cannot guarantee your table will have a view, but your parade seat will!)

Kids 12 and under will choose from the Biga kids menu as well as a box of treats to enjoy riverside.

Timing is important for this package.  The parade starts at 7pm so seating for the pre-parade dinner will be limited to 5pm, 5:15PM and 5:30pm.  All reservations with parade packages purchased will be expected to vacate their dining room table and occupy their parade seats no later than 7pm.

1st Course:

Chilled shrimp & crab salad, truffle caviar 

Korean dumplings with kimchi & cauliflower

Vegan navy bean, mushroom & wild rice soup (cream optional)

Mixed greens, pears, cheddar, walnut vinaigrette 

Classic Biga chicken fried oysters (3)

 

2nd Course:

Slow cooked Angus Beef Denver, braised collard greens, soft parmesan polenta, red wine jus

Seared American Red snapper or Seared Scallops & Shrimp, grilled peach salad, arugula, blue berries, maple rosemary vinaigrette, feta cheese

Seared Duck Breast & Braised Leg Meat, roasted hasselback potato, caramelized onion jus, Dijon spring greens

Roast Loin of Berkshire Pork, black beans, red pepper rice, tomato sauce, crunchy tortillas

Pan Seared Zucchini, Yellow Squash and Mushrooms,citrus rice, cilantro avocado pesto and lime pulp

 

3rd Course:  (To take to your Parade seat)

Chocolate tres leches cake, chocolate whipped cream, chocolate creamuex, summer berries 

 

Kids: 12 and under

Small Tenderloin of Beef, mashed potatoes, green vegetable

Chicken fingers, fries and fruit

Pasta, alfredo or marinara with chicken or shrimp

If you are the kind of person that gets thirsty during parades you may want to bring some cash.  We will have a cash bar available for Biga guests from 6:45-8:00pm.

After the parade starts we have another option…

Biga is normally closed on Mondays but since the river parade is going on we decided to open our dining room for a 3-course fixed price dinner for guests looking for dinner and a little refuge from the parade hub-bub and for those that like the parade but don’t need to see every minute of it.

Tables in the dining room may not have a view of the parade but everyone will have access to our balcony at any time. 

How it works…Seating starts at 7pm.  Once you arrive at the restaurant you will be seated at your table in the main dining room.  Most people use their table as a, kind of, home base.  You will order your drinks, and food at the table and your dinner will be served at the table but at any time you and your guests may want to take your drinks onto our balcony and watch the parade.  Your server will help you time things as you wish.

THIS PACKAGE DOES NOT INCLUDE SEATING ON THE PARADE ROUTE AND WE CANNOT GUARANTEE A TABLE WITH A VIEW.

1st Course:

Price includes food, tax and gratuity. Drinks and other add ons will be billed on consumption.

Parking during fiesta can be problematic.  Ride share services like Uber and Lyft are a good idea!

For our May Traveling Taste Buds Series, Biga is taking a journey to South Korea to celebrate Buddha’s Birthday. Also known as the Festival of Lanterns, Buddha’s Birthday is determined by the lunar calendar, and this year the celebration falls on May 19th. Join us as we partake in culinary traditions, sample East Asian cuisine, and even make a wish as we light our celebratory lanterns. This culinary journey requires no passports, luggage, or plane tickets. Grab a ride on a Go Rio cruise boat and meet us at Biga on the Banks for a travel-free culinary adventure!
